Who we are
Pip and Patch (pipandpatchpets.co.uk) is run by Joanne Giles, email address hello@pipandpatchpets.co.uk. I’m the controller of the personal data described here.
What we collect, why, and for how long
- Your name, email address and message, if you contact me. I use this to reply and to fix mistakes. My lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering people who write to me). I keep it for 12 months after the conversation ends.
- Technical logs kept by our host, such as IP address, browser and time of visit. These keep the site secure and working. My lawful basis is legitimate interests (security). They are kept for [the period in Hostinger’s policy, check it].
This site has no user accounts, comments, newsletter or analytics.
Who we share it with
Our hosting provider, Hostinger, processes data for us. Hostinger stores backups of the site in Germany. We don’t sell personal data. If you click a link to a partner’s site, that partner collects data under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
This site uses only strictly necessary cookies, which keep it secure and working. These don’t need your consent. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies on our own pages. If that changes, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this page.
Affiliate links: when you click a link marked “Ad”, the shop or its affiliate network (for example Amazon or Awin) may set cookies once you arrive on their site, to record that we sent you. They are covered by those companies’ own policies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and where it applies ask for it in a portable format. If we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@pipandpatchpets.co.uk to use any of these rights.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
